General comments
Behandeling van Blastocystis spp. is in principe niet geindiceerd gezien het ontbreken van een duidelijke relatie met klinische verschijnselen en het feit dat behandeling vaak ineffectief is. Slechts in uitzonderlijke gevallen kan behandeling overwogen worden.
