General comments
Overweeg bij hemodynamische instabiliteit eenmalig gentamicine 5 mg/kg iv.
Maak keuze van therapie op geleide directe diagnostiek (b.v. antigeentesten) en resultaten van sputumkweek. Overweeg een bronchoscopie indien de patiënt niet in staat is goed sputum te produceren, met name bij patiënten met gestoorde immuniteit en bij patiënten die kunstmatig worden beademd.
